icthyolith diagenesis

  Thanks for responding,

  What I want to know, is do people out there view REE incorporation into
icthyoliths as a continuous, slow diffusive process (at least to a point)
or as a rapid event after death. (I'm thinking of the Toyoda & Tokonami vs
Wright etc papers)

  Also, has anyone looked at REE's in apatite other than deep marine
apatite - I have, and they seem to be fairly suseptable to diagenetic
alteration in most environments
