The following is a list of the PaleoNet ftp site contents to date. More is
on the way - especially DOS and Windows software. Also, if anyone out
there knows of particular utilities, programs, etc. that they think would
be useful to other paleontologists, let me know and we'll get them on the
server.

/Lists Paleo_E-mail.hqx - A text file of names, surface
mail addresses, and e-mail addresses for
paleontologists around the world. This list was
compiled by Rex A. Doescher
(MNHPB002@SIVM.SI.EDU) and is current as of
10 Nov. 1994.

/Communications NCSAMosaic1.03.cpt - The current "official"
release of Mosaic for the Mac. Mosaic is a program
that provides the user access to the Worldwide Web.
Use of Mosaic requires installation of MacTCP.
NCSAMosaic2.0A8.cpt - Most current alpha
release of the next generation of Mosaic for the
Mac. Mosaic is a program that provides the user
access to the Worldwide Web. Note: this is not an
official release so it is not guaranteed to work. Use
of Mosaic requires installation of MacTCP.
/Graphics CyberGif_1.1.sea - A Gif graphics file converter.
GIFConverter_2.3.1.sea - A Gif Graphics file
converter.
Graph_3D.sit - a 3D charting program.
JPEGView11.cpt - a JPEG graphics file
viewer/format converter.
/Morphometrics Eigenshape.cpt - a set of programs for taking 2D or
3D x,y coordinate data and performing a 2D or 3D
eigenshape analysis on them.
/Utilities Add_bx_3.6.2.sit - A very complete and very
useful Address Book.
Compact_Pro.sea - The most popular compression
utiltiy for the Mac. In addition to compressing you
files, you can also use Compact Pro to create or
convert BinHex files. This is a self-expanding
archive so you don't need to already have the
program in order to get the program.
Monitor_Test_Patterns.cpt - A utility that lets you
test and, in some cases, calibrate you monitor. Very
useful for paleontologists heavily into digital
graphics.
ResEdit.cpt - The standard Apple Resource Utility
Editor. If want to be a Macintosh Power User,
"don't leave home without it."
Sutffit_Expander.cpt - Utility that will expand
either Compact Pro or Suffit archives and create or
convert BinHex files.
