RE: paleonet Welcome to The Palaeo-oological Discussion Group



I do not believe that in English-language usage we would ever go with three
o's in a row.  I think the only possibly correct versions are Paleoology,
Palaeoology and the same two with umlauts on the second o; four choices in
all.

I think that a real purist might also insist on a diaeresis on the third 
one, though these days few people are pure enough to know what one of those 
is!
