paleonet IPA General Assembly

To all IPA Members and all paleontologists everywhere:

The General Assembly of the International Palaeontological Association will
convene on the afternoon of June 20 during the International
Paleontological Congress in Beijing (please check the IPC Program for the
time and room).

The General Assembly is the quadrennial business meeting of IPA. In
addition to the usual reports, the Agenda will include (1) ratification of
a proposed revised Constitution <http://ipa.geo.ku.edu>, (2) consideration
of invitations to host the next International Paleontological Congress in
2010, and (3) election of IPA officers for the term 2006-2010.

All IPA Corporate Members in good standing (dues paid for 2006) are asked
to send a voting delegate to this meeting. We encourage all other
paleontological societies and organizations who would like to become
Corporate Members to contact the IPA Treasurer immediately (Dr. Bruce
Lieberman <blieber@ku.edu>). As of today, the list includes:

Czech Republic-Geological Institute AS CR

The General Assembly is an open meeting, and everyone is welcome to
attend. We hope that many IPC participants will take this opportunity to
learn more about the activities of the IPA.

We look forward to seeing all of you there.
