The 2006 International Paul Brönnimann Award

 
Purpose - Encouragement of research in the field of micropaleontology and biology of foraminifera.
Award - 5000 CHF. The award will cover the winning candidate's expenses to attend the FORAMS 2006 - International Symposium on Foraminifera in Brazil, where the award will be officially given.
Topic selected for the 2006 award - Environmental relationships of fossil or modern Foraminifera
Requirements - Maximum age is 35. An affiliation with a university or a research institution is necessary. All scientists working in the field may participate, whatever their country of origin or residence.
Criteria for selection - The contribution must be original, and particular credit will be given to innovative approach, multidisciplinary studies and practical applications. If the study is new and unpublished, the applicants will send a manuscript conforming with the instructions of the 'Revue de Paléobiologie' in which the selected work will be published. If the results have already been published or are in press, candidates will send an expended abstract, also conforming with the instructions of the 'Revue de Paléobiologie', in which it will be published if selected.
Application - Applicants must send a CV with a list of their scientific publications and a summary of their scientific activities.
