Indeed...A good thesis in paleoarchaeology would be "the evolution of the 
human ego and impact on civilizations"

Basically, I am not worry, the ones with fear of loosing whatever are!

i really wouldn't worry about it too much.  people are
the all the same whether they are are at large
prestigious universities or small less prestigious
ones.
