RE: paleonet Yet more deceitful crap from John Jackson

Hi,

I am so gald that messages like "paleonet Yet more deceitful crap from John
Jackson" from Mary Kirkaldy, John Jackson, James, and mine are coming to the
surface finally!

I have pondered deeply since I was expelled because of my cultural
background really, and officially "whatever” from Iber***, and without any
reason from Vert@ (even though many people protest vividly to the list
manager). I will not waste more time trying to either defend myself, put
myself on one side, or whatever!
Besides I will dig deeper into this burst of confrontations among us, rather
than defend or trying to expel somebody (from a position of power) else from
a different list!...Let's talk clear...This is not an attack this is a
realistic comment about our field!

I disagree with any dogmatic structure from any nature scientific, religious
,political, because dogmatic beliefs are to empower a few using the rest.
This is why I could be talking with scientists, budhist monks, communists,
and whatever in one room without a problem. I think there is a common ground
where everybody as humans could understand each other because everybody is
looking for answers from different angles...

I think that messages like Mary Kirkaldy, John Jackson, James, and mine (and
many other personal messages) demonstrate that Palaeontology, Evolutionary
morphologists, anybody that work on fossils et al., are a very pre-selected
and closed group of people. Unlike Christians, Buddhists, etc we do not open
themselves to the public except via popular science books sell on Amazon,
exhibitions, and several minority Palaeontological meeting around the
globe.
In fact, when the average people (even colleagues among us) come around are
defined ponies because they relate to our area by the popular books, not by
our studies...Since, the withdrawal of main names from our lists the demand
of exclusively professional Palaeontological lists. In other words like in
Darwin times it is difficult to approach them. Consequently, WE ARE A
MINORITY and less popular than other people, and ID for example
unsurprisingly is taking over!

This is also supported by a paper I was never allowed to publish based on
America (I mean the whole continent not only USA) and European Universities
that about 95% of people working on Palaeontology, Evolutionary
morphologists, anybody that work on fossils et al., share the same skin
colour, social level...etc!
In fact, my friend and I (I will not mention his name...) figured out that
students for PhD position are pre-selected by their the research theme that
professors are studying, social format, origins, and publications.
We also identified many interlocking among the students that are publishing
in main stream magazines, academics and prestigious Universities.
Also, we thought that we are "on the horse", many people focussed their
publications thinking in future funding and their own positions (personal
ambitions etc), and not accepting different points of view (I could mention
some papers on dinosaurs and eggshells). We supported this tendency by the
uneasiness of securing a permanent job on palaeontology; University levels
needs to be kept high; and bythe self-indulgement of many of the cases.
As a result, most of us that our ides are not accepted within these close
groups Palaeontology, Evolutionary morphologists, anybody that work on
fossils et al.. we can only shout; people that are in charged defend their
positions from people like us that has a supported point of view that may
make their positions tremble (funding etc their positions and close to
themselves); and the worse we are a minority and society go backwards into
ID or similar ways, instead of accepting Evolution, or at least a common
ground to understand each other.

I think guys we have a responsibility that we are failing sharply and is to
make people understand what is evolution. Not only by popular science books,
and dinosaur exhibitions, but, by open ourselves to society without fear.
I suggest that at least people like John Jackson, James and I make our
supported points that differ to other people in scientific magazines. Also,
people like Mary Kirkaldy et al. open their media to people like us, and at
least let our answers be published next to your articles in big journals.
Also, to open ourselves to society with publications explaining what is
evolution!

Please, I would appreciate if anybody that dislikes my message accept my
apologies. Besides, this the social reality of our field, we are a minority,
ruled by a few, and that hardly reach people.
I like to see our field progress this is the main reason I am exposing my
humble opinion to all of you. I dislike all this silly fighting…I hope you
have had a nice weekend!
