All, Science published an interesting article today regarding the discovery of two elasmosaur specimens in Australia that were found with the remains of clams and other invertebrates, mixed with gastroliths, as gut contents: C.R. McHenry, A.G Cook, and S. Wroe, 2005. Bottom-feeding plesiosaurs. Science 310-75. For subscribers to Science, the article is available online (Brevia). I've also added a temporary webpage to Oceans of Kansas written by Colin McHenry with more information regarding the discovery... The webpage includes contact information for the authors.. for those of you wanting more details but not wanting to call long distance to Australia, please contact me (Mike Everhart) by email.
