STRATIGRAPHY/SEDIMENTOLOGY

LOW-TEMPERATURE GEOCHEMISTRY

The Department of Geological Sciences at San Diego State University invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions, one in stratigraphy/sedimentology and one in low temperature geochemistry, beginning Fall 2006. A Ph.D. is required at time of appointment and post-doctoral experience is preferred. We seek motivated teacher-scholars who will establish vigorous, externally funded and nationally recognized research programs involving both graduate and undergraduate students. Research specialty within the two positions is open but will preferably complement and build on existing strengths in the department which has extensive analytical and computational facilities. The successful candidates will have teaching responsibility at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
