James, If you are interested in creation-evolution literature and info, the best place to start is the website of the National Center for Science Education (NCSE) at http://www.natcenscied.org/ Incidentally, the latest issue of their newsletter is all about historical and the most recent American opinion polls on the issue. Each issue of their newsletter also has a "centerfold" of book reviews and literature suggestions. If you are interested in a particular part (e.g. history, philosophy, science, law, ethics etc.) of the creation-evolution debate, e-mail me off-list and I can point you to relevant literature.
