All, Just a brief note to thank all of those who suggested possible identifications for the "mystery skull" photos I posted to the list last week: http://www.oceansofkansas.com/temp4.html Along with some useful suggestions, the responses have also included: "What the hell?" "Looks like a Chia-Pet to me." "ABSOLUTELY WEIRD AND WONDERFUL." "How about a reptilian platypus?" "It's pretty cool whatever it is." "Awesome fossil!" I've added three new pictures --- close-ups of the spikes and the skull... sorry for the poor focus on some portions..it is difficult to find a flat area to photograph under the microscope. I'm still looking for a positive ID.
