Forgive me for using the list for what some might consider a request too 
far detached from paleontology. (Though it does, conceivably, include 
pay for paleontologists ) If you can help please reply off-list.

I have been put on a committee to consider the stipend increases that 
attach to promotions - promotion from Assistant to Associate and 
Associate to Full Professor.

Could you let me know what are the norms at your institution.
