This just in. ---------- ASSISTANT PROFESSOR. One semester full-time temporary position beginning August 2005. The Geography-Earth Science Department at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania seeks a broadly trained geoscientist to teach 3 sections of Physical Geology (15 students each) and 1 section of Historical Geology (24 students). The position is a replacement for a faculty member on sabbatical leave. The successful candidate should hold at least a Masteršs degree in Geology, Physical Geography, or a closely related field. ABD or Ph.D. preferred. Salary is highly competitive and based on educational attainment. Shippensburg University is a state-supported liberal arts university with approximately 7200 students (http://www.ship.edu). The Geography-Earth Science Department has 15 faculty members, 220 undergraduate majors, and 55 graduate students (http://www.ship.edu/~geog).
