Without meaning to butt in on a difficult time on your side of the Pacific, I could not restrain myself from taking issue with something Cary Easterday said, i.e.: “…but explained that Creationism is based on faith and Evolution is based on observation and testing.  They don't have to conflict.”

This is incorrect. Creationism purports to explain something about the natural world despite being a religious belief and it is based on absolute disregard, or disparagement of observation and experiment. Evolution is based on observation and experiment. The latter is most likely true, the former is a load of tripe. One could just as logically stated that the flat earth theory does not conflict with the observed and experimentally confirmed interpretation of it as an oblate spheroid. The former theory is tripe, the latter is most likely correct.
