Now, that's interesting: there are three genera of bryozoans, all originally
called Diplopora.

Diplopora Young & Young, 1875 =Diploporaria Nickles & Bassler, 1900
Diplopora MacGillivray, 1886 = Diploporella MacGillivray, 1885
Diplopora Jullien, 1886 =Diplosolen Canu, 1918

All are considered as homonyms (see Bassler 1953 Treatise) of Diplopora Guembel,
1866 - which I have not traced, but I now assume is the dasyclad alga!
