As part of the fall-out from the discoveries at the St. George Dinosaur Tracksite, our State legislature has seen fit to fund a permanent on-going vert paleo program at Dixie State College in St. George, Utah. Paleontology Director. Dixie State College of Utah invites applications for a full-time 12 month faculty/administrative position in Paleontology beginning Fall 2004. Duties: Teach 4-8 credit hours each semester (fall/spring). Promote and conduct classes and programs related to dinosaurs at the Dinosaur Tracks and other field sites. Coordinate fund raising and grant writing efforts. Qualifications: Doctorate degree in paleontology, or in biology or geology with a paleontology emphasis required. Experience in fossil research and activities. Ability to develop innovative curricula. Salary is dependent upon education, qualifications and experience ($50,000 to $55,000).
