I have not seen any answer to this sympathetic message to Spanish palaeontologists. I can try to answer myself and apologize the delay because those terrible days, and to touch a non strictly palaeontological subject. We feel so closely and so deeply touched by these cruel actions that probably we will never be able to react with an objective distance, but as scientist we ask questions. We are looking for reasons to understand why some people can imagine that to kill mass of working people can help to get a better world. All the condemnations, punishments and forfeits that Justice can bring, will help to calm the pain. A violent reaction against people sharing religion, country or ethnic origins with the assassins seems also to calm the pain. Cruelty need an answer. What is the best answer? Science has not answer. Some people in our country, as well as in another countries, think war is the neccesary answer. But all we know that it brings more pain. Sometimes the pain is neccessary to heal, then may the pain of war be neccessary? Some religions say "Never (offer the other cheek!)"; other religions say "Yes if it is an Answer (eye by eye!)"; other religion say "Yes if it is against infidels (but never kill women and children!)". In fact, people from all religions make wars and justify the death of innocents as "collateral damages". For most of the Spanish people, the majority answer is clear: Give Always Peace A Chance! The weapon's race is and old animal feature in Earth's history. Let an innovative change occur!
