I sent a reply, sorry if I'm being impatient to see it posted--I love a puzzle and this was a decidely fun 5 minutes of sleuthing. 'Kepkupaiui' is probably Greek, meaning the 'p' is an 'r' and it is probably named for the Greek Island Corfu, 'Kepkypa' in Greek, where Mediterranean Loggerhead Turtles (Caretta caretta) nest.

I hope I win a car! Or a house! Or some new hiking boots.
