All, While screening matrix from the basal Greenhorn Formation (Western Interior Sea, Late Cretaceous) I found two 2.5 mm fragments of a tiny jaw bone, with attached teeth. The curved teeth are flattened, widely spaced, and appear to be set in sockets. The age is Late Cenomanian. http://www.oceansofkansas.com/Temp.html To me, the teeth appear to be very similar to those of _Ichthyornis_, but somewhat smaller... or a small, feathered theropod, maybe, about the size of a sparrow? Comments appreciated. Regards, Mike Everhart Adjunct Curator of Paleontology Sternberg Museum of Natural History Fort Hays State University, Hays, KS http://www.oceansofkansas.com
