The Department of The Geophysical Sciences at The University of Chicago 
seeks applications for a faculty appointment in Historical 
Geology/Paleobiology, in shallow or deep time.  Possible areas of 
specialization include: Evolutionary Paleoecology; Relationships 
between Climate and Biota; Sedimentary Geology; and Environmental 
evolution of the Earth.  Information about the Department can be found 
at http://geosci.uchicago.edu.  The appointment will be at the 
Assistant Professor-level, except in extraordinary cases.  Candidates 
must have completed the Ph.D. prior to appointment.  Please send a
