All, Thanks to all who replied regarding my inquiry about the Sternberg shark specimen sent to Munich. In the fast pace of Cyberspace, I've inquired and already received a reply from the museum. It appears that the specimen and the museum housing it were destroyed in 1944. Many of the smaller specimens had been moved to safe storage outside the museum and were saved. Unfortunately, the shark was in a large wall mount (7 m?) and could not be removed.
