Thank you for your good advice Becky. Nice to find a vertebratist on this list, and an ornithologist to boot. Presumably you mainly deal with Cenozoic stuff, but have you discovered anything interesting recently about earlier birds? I now suspect the abdominal air sac was the first to be used in breathig.
