Indeed.  If anyone wishes to write a letter of support to the people
listed in Prof. Schultze's email, it would be most appreciated.  But I
would like to point out (if it hasn't been already - I do not get the
VPaleo list) that the report mentioned by Prof. Schultze was in general
very supportive of the Museum in Berlin, called for a major increase in
funding, and stressed the importance of research, teaching and public
education in the theme "evolution of the earth and life on earth".

The problem we have is clearly explaining in a positive way to the
university administration the role that paleontology plays in such a
program.  Letters of support that do this would be the most useful.
