Duke!  Probably the Nicholas School;  they keep reorganizing and
changing names, but Duke has a powerhouse group in this field. 
University of New Hampshire also has a research group in coastal
sedimentology (the more traditional name for what I suspect she
wants to do), but I don't know how it rates.

You might also direct her to the literature:  who writes papers
now on this topic, and where do they work?
