Thanks to Tim McCormick for providing a very concise and interesting
summary of the Digital Burgess meeting.  All in all, it sounds very
much like the experience I had as a student at the Santa Fe Institute
summer school in 1992, which overlapped with the ALife III meeting.

Anyone reading this thread who is interested in looking at the nuts
and bolts of artificial life etc. should check out the SFI's Complex
