This announcement is cross-posted from the vrtpaleo list. N. MacLeod ---------- Announcement The long awaited "Fossils of Ohio" from the Ohio Dept of Natural Resources, Div. of Geological Survey, is now available. It was well worth the wait! The almost 600 page book is amply illustrated with drawings, photographs, and maps, and is written in a style that will appeal to both laymen and professionals. It covers both the invertebrates and vertebrates throughout Ohio (with a photo of Cleveland's famous _Dunkelosteus_ "terrible fish" on the cover). It is the most comprehensive book on the fossils of a single state. Price is $18.00 plus postage and handling. No, I don't get a commission for advertizing it; I am just one of many people who have been patiently awaiting the arrival of this book, and want to spread the word. For more information on the book visit the new web site of the Ohio Geological Survey at: http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/odnr/geo_survey or Tel. 1-614-265-6576, Fax 614-447-1918, or email: geo.survey@dnr.state.oh.us Glen J.
