Dear Netters, I used to read paleonet, however this is the first message I post, so I think, I should shortly introduce myself. I am a PhD student at Eotvos University, Budapest, Hungary. I study Early Cretaceous calcareous nannofossils of some Hungarian outcrops. There are some serious problems in biostratigraphy, since ammonites, foraminifers and nannoplankton gave different ages. I would like to reevaluate nannofossil studies in my PhD. My question concerns foraminifera. There are some "Albian" forms described: Spirillina mediogranulata Riesch Praeglobotruncana cf. delrioensis Plummer Pseudoclavulina gaultina Moroz. Osangularia cf. brotzeni (Gand.) Eoguttulina anglica Cush. & Ozaw. Could you give me some new reference concerning the age of these forms? How significant are the first occurence of these taxa? Thank you, Attila Fogarasi ****************************************************************************** Fogarasi Attila H-1088 BUDAPEST Phone:(36-1) 266-3956 Dept. of Geology Muzeum krt. 4/A Fax:(36-1) 266-4947 Eotvos University HUNGARY E-mail:fogarasi@ludens.elte.hu ******************************************************************************
