trading fossils illegal in Italy

I want to clarify that there is no will to protect data or information from
sharing with scholars of other countries, obtaining the right permission by
a local governement office a foreign paleontologist can study or even make
field research in Italy; a host of them is actually working so. You just
have to ask the permission:One example some English paleoichtyologists are
now studying jurassic fishes from one famous locality and precious specimens
have been lent to London, with the right permission. It is the material
that remains property of the governement and at the end of the study has to
come back.
