Technically, the Smithsonian is also shut down. I have yet to get a reply regarding the NAPC that was e-mailed over a week ago. Ditto for a piece personal email sent there too. How will this affect the abstract deadline? If no one is there to collect and presumably date the time of reception of abstracts, how will anyone know when their abstract was recieved? Granted, checking the postmark on the cancelled postage could be used to bracket the date but the cancellation date and the date the parcel _was_delivered_ may also vary. Any sugestions?
