A limited number of scholarships (10) are available for students studying paleontology for the Prehistoric Journey Symposium which will celebrate the opening of the Prehistoric Journey exhibition at the Denver Museum of Natural History, November 10-11. Students may apply for the scholarships by sending a letter of interest along with a recommendation from their academic advisors or sponsors, stating that they are a student in good standing for a study program in paleontology. The scholarships defray the cost of the symposium only ($110); students are expected to pay their own transportation , lodging and food expenses. The symposium will feature presentations by Lynn Margulis, Dolf Seilacher, Bill DiMichele, Elisabeth Vrba, Phil Currie, Stephen Gould, Kirk Johnson and Richard Stucky. Costs for the symposium are $110 for non members and $105 for members of the Denver Museum of Natural History. Letters for scholarships should be sent to Richard Stucky or Kirk Johnson at Denver Museum of Natural History, 2001 Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO or by email to paleo@dmnh.org. Seating for the Symposium is limited and deadline for student applications are October 12.
