I file Mr. Okamura's work near my treasured copy (6th printing, 1966) of "Fotheringham, Augustus C., 1928. Eoo"rnis pterovelox gobiensis. London, The Buighleigh Press, 34 p. (wraps)," which was given to me by Ellis Yochelson. Can anyone provide information regarding the origin of this classic? Mr. Okamura's names meet the intent and technical criteria of the ICZN and, therefore, are available for purposes of homonymy and priority, though apparently no types were designated. No insuperable problems are presented in this instance, but some other authors whose names have little more substance cause a great deal of clean-up work for those of us who write synonymies. --------------------------------------------------------------- Rosalie F.
