Given that there are probably a few thousand palaeo articles published per year (not to mention Newsletter items) putting abstracts over the paleonet mailing -list would probably be a bit of an overload. So maybe the ideal should be for Contents list to go out on the mailing list + deposition of ASCII abstracts at the NHM gopher site &/or reference to another site where the abstracts can be downloaded from (or simple admission that abstracts are unavailable). Further points 1. If we started to get overwhelmed with contents lists then maybe a new list could be set up for them, so as to let them be optional, but start off on regular palaeonet. 2.
