Malcolm Herbert at Lampeter College (Univ. of Wales) is working on exactly
this - he gave talks at the Pal Ass christmas meeting & the Progressive
Palaeo Meeting in March [note for non-Pal Ass members, a UK students
meeting]. He is from a computing/mathematics background but doing research
on developing 3D reconstruction tehniques for palaeo problems.

His email address is sm005@lampeter.ac.uk
