I doubt very much that your distress is caused by a difference
between PCs and Macs, or possibly even by EXCEL. There are
excellent FFT algorithms and shareware products available, that are
more conducive to research purposes than things produced by the
Bobs at Microsoft. It would be worth your time to contact a Math
or engineering department, and simply access their resources.
