But if I remember right that ?Harvard student that shut down a lot of Unix boxes did it because there was a known flaw in the mail system that allowed him to stick enough code in it so it was spread around. I imagine that flaw has since been plugged. It also took a good programmer with at least root access messing with the software of the mailer. Still the vast majority are on IMB or MAC pc's and only spread by disks that have executable codes - like those cheap games you got from a friend. -- : James F.
