And I thought the whole idea was to provide a communication network for
people devoted to palaeontology, irrespective of who, if any, paid their
salary! As access to Paleonet is open, there is in any case no point in
discussing who might and who might not send a message here. You can't
prevent the cranky messages any more than you can prevent somebody from
writing you a cranky letter. The only (and usually best) thing you can do
is to ignore it, and the problem will be manageable. But some of the best
palaeontologists I know are currently without salary, so please let's stop
insulting a huge bunch of people who are doing the science a lot of good!
