Here are the details for the University of Michigan paleontology position. Please note the imminent deadline for application materials. Norm MacLeod ------- The Museum of Paleontology and Department of Geological Sciences invite applications for a joint tenure-track position in invertebrate paleontology. We anticipate the appointment will be made in 1995 at the assistant-professor level, but more senior candidates are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. is required. We seek applicants with broad research and teaching interests in earth history, paleobiology, and global change, with expertise in fossil invertebrates (metazoan and/or protistan). Resources include strong programs in sedimentary geology, paleoceanography, and geochemistry in the department, and organismal and evolutionary biology within the university. Museum appointment involves shared curatorial responsibility for a major invertebrate research collection. Interested candidates should submit a curriculum vitae, statement of research and teaching interests, and names of five persons from whom we may request letters of recommendation, to Prof. Daniel C. Fisher, Search Committee Chair, Museum of paleontology, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48109-1079. FAX: 313-936-1380. E-mail: dcfisher@umich.edu. Closing date for applications in January 31, 1995.
