I assume you are familiar with C. cusseta, which seems to be endemic to my general region (SE USA): it was described by Sohl & Kauffman (1964, USGS Prof. Paper--I forget the # but it's in my office if necessary). I have worked with them a bit: let me know if you need info on this species: it occurs only in the mid-Campanian, by the way, and I have found it forming a bioherm, rather like C. gigantissima.
