“Bloc Formation”

The early Eocene Fossil-Lagerstätte of Monte Bolca (northern Italy) is renowned worldwide for its extraordinarily well-preserved fossil biota containing more than 500 species of terrestrial and marine vertebrates, invertebrates, molluscs, plants, crustaceans, jellyfishs and a huge quantity of fish. In this reconstruction, between other creatures are illustrated two specimens of the Angel fish (
Eoplatax papilio), a Moon Fish (Mene rhombea), and a shark.
